  9. THE SHAREWARE CONCEPT

  11.   Shareware is licensed commercial software which the authors make available
  12.   on a try-before-you-buy basis.  Users may evaluate a Shareware product for a
  13.   period usually between 30 and 90 days, by the end of which they must either
  14.   pay for the product (known as Registration) or stop using it.

  16.   Copying of Shareware, subject to the above conditions, is not only allowed,
  17.   it is encouraged.  Pass copies on to interested friends and colleagues.
  18.   Shareware authors rely on the integrity of users to abide by the conditions
  19.   of the license, and register the product if they want to continue using it.
  20.   Many, like ARK ANGLES and ERIC RODDA-SOFTWARE, also give added benefits to
  21.   users who register.

  24. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

  26.   This program is Shareware, and may be freely copied and distributed subject
  27.   to the terms described in the VENDOR.TXT file.  The program may be tried out
  28.   for up to 60 days without charge, after which time users should register it
  29.   or cease to use it.

  31.   Note that Shareware does not mean Freeware or Public Domain.  This program
  32.   is licensed software, and copying or using it without paying for it, except
  33.   as provided above, is a breach of copyright.

  36. WHY REGISTER?
  37.  
  38.   As stated, the license for this product entitles you to try it out for up to
  39.   60 days.  Use of the unregistered product beyond that period is a breach of
  40.   copyright and is against the law.  But apart from the legal obligation,
  41.   there are many benefits to be gained from registering.  You will receive:

  43.    *   a REGISTERED version of the CARD Package, plus
  44.    *   full DOCUMENTATION on disk, plus
  45.    *   a bonus set of DOS UTILITIES such as batch file enhancers and menu
  46.        utilities, plus
  47.    *   notification of NEW software products, plus
  48.    *   free UPDATES that become available, plus
  49.    *   12 months support, plus
  50.    *   the satisfaction of supporting value software through Shareware.

  53. PRICING

  55.   Single Registration is A$24.95 or US$21.95, which entitles you to all the
  56.   benefits listed above.  Single registration gives a license for use of the
  57.   program by one user or on one machine.
  58.  
  59.   Site Licenses are available for A$59.95 or US$49.95.  Site licenses allow
  60.   an unlimited number of users at the one location.

  62.   Unregistered copies of the latest version are available from ARK ANGLES for
  63.   just a shipping charge of $5 each, or from many good Shareware vendors.

  68. HOW TO REGISTER
  69.  
  70.   Nothing is simpler.  We accept cash (of course), cheques (but may wait for
  71.   them to clear if they are large amounts), credit cards (Bankcard, Visa or
  72.   Mastercard only), bank drafts or Postal/Money Orders.  Credit cards will
  73.   always be billed by us in $A so you get the latest and best exchange rate.
  74.   Although we prefer any cash or cheques or drafts etc to be in $A or $US, we
  75.   will accept them in any major currency - please calculate the equivalent
  76.   amount in your own currency from the published $US price.

  78.   There are four easy ways to register:

  80.   1. PHONE:  Get your credit card ready, and the details of your equipment as
  81.      listed in the ORDERFRM.TXT file.  Then call (047)588100 for Australian
  82.      customers or Intl+61-47-588100 for overseas customers, and leave your
  83.      ordering information with the operator or answering machine.

  85.   2. FAX:  If you have a fax card on your computer, then simply edit the file
  86.      ORDERFRM.TXT with all the necessary information, otherwise print it and
  87.      fill it in manually.  Make sure all your credit card info is there,
  88.      then fax it to (047)588638 for Australian customers or Intl+61-47-588638
  89.      for overseas customers.

  91.   3. POST:  Print ORDERFRM.TXT and fill it in.  If its a credit card order,
  92.      or the order includes more than one product, post to ARK ANGLES at
  93.      24 Alexander Ave, Hazelbrook NSW 2779, Australia.  Otherise include a
  94.      cheque, draft or money order, and post the lot to ERIC RODDA-SOFTWARE at

  97.   4. COMPUSERVE:  Insert ORDERFRM.TXT into a note, fill it in with your credit
  98.      card information, and send it to CompuServe Id 100237,141.

  113.   access to the author and/or distributor by mail, phone and fax, plus

  134.   ARK ANGLES and/or ERIC RODDA-SOFTWARE warrant the physical disks and related
  135.   printed documentation to be free of significant defects in materials and
  136.   workmanship, and that the program works largely in accordance with its
  137.   documentation.  This warranty is effective for three months from date of
  138.   registration, and is not transferrable.

  140.   No liability is accepted for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused by
  141.   the use of this product.  No warranty is made that it is suitable for any
  142.   particular person or purpose.  If this product is useful to you then please
  143.   register it, otherwise don't use it and don't pay for it.

  145.   In any event, the liability of ARK ANGLES and/or ERIC RODDA-SOFTWARE is
  146.   restricted to either a refund of the registration paid, a replacement of
  147.   the physical disks and/or printed matter, or the provision of an upgrade
  148.   to the latest version.
